"I win again," Katara said with a smug grin.

Zuko, who was relaxed until now, scanned the Pai Sho board. He opened his mouth to protest and then closed it. Groaning, he hung his head. This made Katara's grin even broader.

"You remember the deal?" she asked.

"If you win all four matches you get a free day at the Komodo Spa and I provide the service," Zuko muttered.

"That's right!"

Zuko looked up and narrowed his eyes at the woman he considered his best friend next to Uncle Iroh. The smug smile, pretty as it was on her face, bugged the snot out of him. That expression belonged to him! Then again she had beaten him four times in a row in a game his own uncle was the king of; she deserved to rub it in. It wasn't like she was being sadistic; she was being playful. She deserved to be so after dealing with a war she, or anyone their age, shouldn't have to be involved in. Still...

"Okay," Zuko said coolly. "But here's a congratulatory gift..."

If he was going to be catering to the Water Tribe ambassador all day, he was going to get back at her. Leaning across the table, he planted a kiss on her cheek....very close to the lips. Zuko sat down. Katara's expression changed from cocky to bewildered, a hand resting on the spot where he kissed her. Zuko folded his arms. It was his turn to wear a smug grin.
